Fox Ridge is a new home community located in the Indian Land, Lancaster County part of Fort Mill SC. To call Fox Ridge new is a overstating it. It has been around for a few years and two of the original three builders pulled out but Timberstone and DR Horton are in there now and are still building some pretty nice homes. Yes folks, contrary to popular media beliefs, people are still building and buying homes. Just don’t look for the $400K style homes in Fox Ridge anymore. Now a days it’s more like upper $200K.
Fox Ridge is also one of those neighborhoods that has a great location, especially if you work in Charlotte. Just off of 521 it is convenient to the local shopping and dining establishments as well as twenty or so miles from Uptown Charlotte. Being nestled up against the Bailes Ridge Walking Trail is a nice perk too.
What else? Access to great Lancaster County schools. (Yes, I know everyone loves Fort Mill Schools but check with the school district websites before you rule out Fox Ridge) There are basement homes available. Amenities besides the walking trails include a private pool and a cabana. That’s about it.
