Huntersville a community that has changed over the last 20 years looks forward to the next 20.

The Huntersville community plan that was adopted by the Huntersville town board in 1989 did not include developments like Birkdale Village.  In fact they weren’t even a glimmer in a town planner’s eye.  The entire Northcross area was just in the planning stages and exit 25 didn’t even exist. The Cedarfield and Wynfield neighborhoods were the first major subdivisions in the region and were just under way. The Huntersville town limit stopped at I-77 to the west and not too far east of the railroad tracks.

Things have changed since then and when changes came, they came fast. Huntersville has changed significantly in the last 20 years, and the town will experience more changes in the next 20 years. Huntersville includes 11,577 single-family residential homes already built, 7,401 approved homes remain to be constructed.

Even though Huntersville has changed over the last 20 years the town planners have still managed to keep it a desirable location to live.  With all the amenities you need nearby and it easy commute to Uptown Charlotte, the charm of a small town feel why would want to live anywhere else!

Northstone Golf Club and Community Offers Something for Everyone!

huntersville_northstone

Northstone Golf Club and community may be one of Huntersville’s most active neighborhoods around Lake NormanNorthstone is located in Huntersville and is only about 15 miles form Uptown Charlotte.  Homes range from the mid 200K up to over 400K and are traditional in style.  Most are partial or full brick and very grand looking.  Thirteen homes have been sold or are under contract in the past three months which is a tribute to Huntersville Real Estate.

Great golf is not the only thing Northstone is known for although having a P.B. Dye signature course that was rated #1 by Charlotte’s Business Journal is a nice accolade.  Northstone membership also offers a full tennis program, 2700 square foot fitness center, “Kids Kare”, four-pool swimming complex and the golf studio.  Numerous social programs are also widely attended by the residents which rang from kid events to adult parties.  A golf membership is a great deal for the quality and caliber of this course and Northstone offers many types to accommodate everyone.

Huntersville is growing and has a lot to offer with Lake Norman very close, good schools, many parks in the area and great shopping & restaurants.

Skybrook, a Great Community in Huntersville, NC!

huntersville_skybrookThe community of Skybrook is technically located in Huntersville, NC but it is on the south side near University Area of Charlotte.  I wanted to put the spot light on Skybrook because it fits so many of peoples wants and needs when it comes to a neighborhood to live.  The price points is between the low 200K and go up to the several hundred thousands and the architecture is traditional to custom looking.  If that is all that people wanted in a community then there would be many neighborhoods that would fit for home buyers.  Skybrook offers much more for the residents of this very high end feeling community.

The amenities are just about second to none with tennis courts, an amazing swim and racquet club, soccer fields, 18 hole championship golf course with a practice range.  This is one of my favorite golf courses in the Charlotte area that is well maintained with undulated views both on the course and for the home owners.

Part of the advantage of living in Skybrook is convenience to shopping, parks, malls and restaurants.  Another great benefit is part of Skybrook has Cabarrus County taxes which are a little lower.  This beautiful community hits many people’s targets for occupational reasons with a short commute to Huntersville and University Area.  An evening to Uptown Charlotte is only about a 15 mile trip and if you work in Uptown Charlotte then I would suggest taking a test drive in rush hour to see if it is within your commute time frame.

There has been 21 homes sold in the last three months and 15 more are pending.  These numbers can only be an acknowledgment to the quality and desire for this community.  Request for Huntersville Real Estate is a growing desire for many home buyers and Skybrook is a great neighborhood and area to consider.

The Vermillion Neighborhood is a True Gem inside of Huntersville, North Carolina

huntersville_vermillionThe community of Vermillion is located off exit 23 from I-77 and is one of Huntersville hidden secrets.  One would think this community would have more recognition being just over ten years old but with some overshadowing from Birkdale Village two exits north it has stayed in the foreground of realtors minds.  This may have been a benefit for the residents of Vermillion with less traffic and just a few minutes from all the attractions of Birkdale Village.   Because of the location you can easily commute to either the University area or Huntersville.

The architecture of the homes meets almost anyone’s taste and prices range from the low 200K to high 500K.  Vermillion offers great location, convenience to shopping and activities, close proximity to parks and a short commute to Uptown Charlotte, University area, Cornelius, Davidson and Mooresville.

We now have Discovery Place coming to Downtown Huntersville (a skip and a jump from Vermillion) which has started construction but does not have a finish date as of yet.  All of Huntersville and the surrounding communities are looking forward to the grand opening and the educational benefits that come along with the interactive exhibits, activities and explosive experiments during daily programs.
