Antiquity is a new nationally recognized smart-growth community about 20 miles north of Uptown Charlotte within walking distance of downtown Cornelius and Davidson Elementary School. The entrance has covered-bridge that reflects the at-ease friendly feeling for this new community.
The streets of Antiquity will include more than 1,000 residences built with all ages and stages in mind, from couples and growing families to young professionals and empty-nesters. On-street parking and garages accessible only by alleyways allow residents to enjoy uninterrupted sidewalks throughout Antiquity, including those leading to and around the town center. Antiquity will both preserve and enhance the natural and cultural resources of Cornelius and surrounding communities.
There is a planned 30-acre park that will surround the village. Outdoor activities will be plentiful here which will include an orchard of peaches and vineyard of muscadine grapes. An arboretum will give residents an opportunity to memorialize special people and times with donated trees and plaques. Athletic fields and a hike-and-bike trail will connect with the trail system in neighboring Davidson. Finally, a 2,500-seat amphitheater will be the outdoor setting for various summer performances.
All this within 3 miles of Lake Norman
